  15.      _f_a_x_q_u_i_t sends a message to a _H_y_l_a_F_A_X server process telling
  16.      it to quit operation.

  18.      If _m_o_d_e_m is specified, the _f_a_x_g_e_t_t_y(1M) process servicing
  19.      the specified modem is notified.  _m_o_d_e_m can either be the
  20.      name (typically the last component of the terminal port the
  21.      modem is attached to), or the full name of the associated
  22.      FIFO named pipe file, e.g. ``FIFO.ttym2''.

  24.      If no modem is specified, _f_a_x_q_u_i_t will send the request to
  25.      the ``FIFO'' named pipe file causing the _H_y_l_a_F_A_X queue
  26.      manager process to terminate.

  28.      Note that server processes may not terminate immediately.
  29.      In particular the _f_a_x_q process will not exit until any
  30.      active jobs are completed; this is necessary for proper
  31.      operation (_f_a_x_q must wait for child processes to terminate
  32.      so that it can collect their exit status and update the
  33.      state of the jobs being operated on).
